NWEA testing will begin next week for my students. Please make sure they are well rested and ready to learn! Healthy breakfasts and snacks are appreciated. If possible please continue to practice working with a mouse clicking and dragging. Please encourage your students to focus and to try their best!!!!
Please practice how to bundle up for outdoor weather. The children are often losing gloves and hats. Please do not send "special outdoor wear". We are doing our best to keep their items organized but some are still getting misplaced.
Our New Library day is Thursday!!!! Please send your child with their library book.
Students are encouraged to bring in a coloring or activity book to use during indoor recess. If they have a small game they may bring that too.

Welcome to the 2015-2016 Kindergarten Superhero Website. Please check our website often for up to date information. Your child’s safety is my top priority. Please follow our arrival and dismissal procedures. Children will only be released to an adult that is on their ER card records. If you are running late, please contact the office so that I may let your child know and have them wait in the office until your arrival.
I am looking forward to a great year!
All important information will be posted on our site. Please check for your child's Friday Folder each week and return it promptly the following Monday. Some notes may need to go home prior to Friday. It is important that you check your child's backpack daily.
SNACK INFORMATION...
Students may bring in 1 healthy and easy to eat snacks. It must be in a baggy with your child's name on it. We do not need water bottles as we have a drinking fountain in our room and juice is not allowed. We do appreciate donations of Dixie cups to help with getting drinks. I know how picky our superheroes can be about snacks. However, I really need your cooperation with snacks. We do not have enough time for snacks that are messy, require adult assistance, or are a dessert. Violet school has a retreat from sweets policy.
Birthday's
Superheroes love their birthdays! For the health and well being of all our students at Violet, we have a retreat from sweets policy. Thus, students are not allowed to send in consumable birthday treats. Students are encouraged to send in a small trinket ( pencils, stickers, erasers, act..) or make arrangements to read a special book or donate a favorite book/game to the class. Even without treats, we will still make it a fun day!
